1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the PivoPay app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any of them, you must not use the service.

2. Description of the service

PivoPay is a mobile app published by Les Entreprises PivoWeb that provides GST/QST-compliant invoicing, receipt scanning, and expense splitting between individuals. The service is provided as is; certain features may be added, changed, or removed without notice.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (GST/QST numbers, invoiced amounts, your clients' contact details). PivoPay calculates taxes based on the information provided and is not responsible for data-entry errors.

4. Payments and subscriptions

The Premium, Pro, and Entreprise plans begin with a 30-day free trial with no credit card required; no amount is charged during this period. At the end of the trial, the subscription is billed monthly or annually in advance, and you can cancel at any time from the app — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already collected are non-refundable.

5. Intellectual property

PivoPay and its content (interface, software, trademark) are the exclusive property of Les Entreprises PivoWeb. You retain ownership of your data (invoices, receipts, client lists).

6. Limitation of liability

PivoPay is not a tax advisor or a chartered accountant. The service is intended to help you keep your records; final tax compliance remains your responsibility or that of your accountant.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws in force in the province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
